Walk-in: power the device down, do not run CHKDSK, Disk Utility, or RAID rebuilds, and bring any passwords you have. Mail-in: pad the drive, do not send it in a bubble envelope without a box, and include a note with the OS, what failed, and the files that matter. We confirm receipt, diagnose at no charge, and send a fixed quote.

Logical jobs (deleted files, formatted volumes, failed Windows boot with a still-healthy head stack) often finish in 24–48 hours. Physical jobs — clicking ST/WD desktop drives, NVMe controller failure, multi-disk RAID — typically take 3–7 days because every platter or NAND chip is imaged before reconstruction. Same-day is possible when the clone is fast and the filesystem is intact.
